A Wii Point is a payment system that Nintendo uses for transactions made through the Wii Console for games and software bought through the Wii Virtual Console, Wii Shop or Wii Ware Store. This card will credit your Wii account for 2000 points, the equivalent of 4 NES games.

To add Wii Points to an account, please take the following steps.

1) Make sure that your Wii is connected to the Internet and that you are completely updated.
2) At the home menu, choose the Wii Shop channel
3) Once the Wii Shop has loaded, click the button in the center that says “Add Wii Points”
4) You will have a choice on how to add your Wii Points, if you have a Wii Points Card Code, click “Redeem a Wii Points Card”
5) Enter your Wii Points Card “Activation Number”, or Points Code into the provided field. Whatever value the code is worth will be instantly added to your account. You are now ready to start shopping!

To send a WiiWare game or Virtual Console game as a GIFT, please follow the given steps.

1) Select the Wii Shop Channel from the Wii Menu, your Wii will need to be completely updated and have an internet connection.
2) Find the product you wish to purchase
3) At the purchase screen, select “Gift”; this will tell you how many Wii Points the gift will cost.
4) You will now be able to choose a friend to send the gift to, and add a message to the gift
5) If the friend is eligible to receive your gift, the points will be deducted and a message will be sent to them informing them of the gift.

To purchase software using your Wii Points, follow the given steps.

1) Ensure that your Wii is connected to the Internet and fully updated.
2) Select the Wii Shop Channel.
3) Choose WiiWare or Virtual Console and find the software that you wish to purchase.
4) Select “Download” from the product page, this page will also inform you as to the total Wii Points Cost of the item
5) If you have sufficient Wii Points to make the purchase, your Wii Points account will be used to pay for the item.
6) The Download will commence and once the software is completely downloaded and installed, you will have full access to it!
